A blog a day for Ron - uh oh i've lost track

Here are some photos of Kevin Rearranging his room. It's prettier now, in the most manly sort of way, of course.

He moved his bed down from the loft and onto the floor.

A picture from the doorway.

Aren't the kitties cute.

A blog for Ron 4/8

First day of University shirts. Weird that our first day of university comes after 3 years of college, but whatever.

These are Kev's new dress shoes. They are Italian leather and beautiful. He has been slipping and sliding in them since he got them. He said when he first put them on and tried to walk he didn't go anywhere because they were too slippery.

Blog a day for Ron 3/8

This is my friend Andrea and of course Kevin. They are supporting the French Club and the German Club respectively. Kevin was jealous of the french mustache so he had one drawn. He washed it off shortly thereafter so that no-one would be offended. But I just love the looks on their faces.

Blog a day for Ron 2/8 - Crackers need a rolling pin

Yesterday I began making crackers for some of my friends. When the dough was all mixed I realized that between my roommate and I we didn't have even one rolling pin. So today I went and bought a beautiful marble rolling pin, just like I have always wanted.

Here it is:

I bought it from the same cute man that I bought my teakettle from, I was really excited because he remembered me! The store is called Providence Fine Living.

Blog a day for Ron 1/8

This is my new favorite place to shop for cookware chefscatalog.com. It has some really great products that aren't plastic. Including flour and Sugar Canisters that are adorable, I've been looking all over the internet at sur la table, williams and sonoma, etc. but all of their canisters were either too ugly or too small.

Last night we watched:

I was reminded how fantastic it was. If you haven't seen it you should.

time for tea

This is my brand new Mustard Yellow Kitchen Aid Teakettle I'm so excited about it. Everytime anyone comes over I have to offer them tea. Just in hopes that I get to show it off! I bought it from this little older gentleman in downtown Walla Walla.
Now I'm looking for some places to buy looseleaf tea. So if anyone knows of any let me know.

Dress of ties

A few years ago I was inspired to begin the quest to make a tie dress, or a dress constructed from old ties. It took many trips to many thrift stores to buy the ties that make up this dress.
It has sat in my sewing pile for the last year and a half, partly due to being in Italy and partly due to the stress it was causing me.
Kevin sat me down this last week and made me finish it. Here are some pics of the final product. I'm so happy it is done and that it turned out well.

Kevin directed me to the site bakingdelights.com and their 50 best online cookie recipes
the other day and so I have begun my quest to make as many of these cookies as I can. I started today with the Heath Bar Cookies.
They are delicious. If I do say so myself. Here are some pics of the final product. mmm...

Immigration

Recently Kevin and Mindy got the help Mindy's dad, Dave Vixie(pictured above), award winning teacher(there is a little pride on Mindy's part) with his immigration simulation. So our last year in Italy made this even more fun. We got to use our italian so that the students could experience what it would have been like to immigrate and not know the language of the country.

Here is Mindy Processing a student.

This was Kevin's first time helping with theis simulation. He did a great job! Here he is processing a student. He used his Italian and even had to use some german on a girl that spoke spanish. It was a very fun day.

Kevin trying to demonstrate to the student what he is saying in Italian. It's a little like playing charades.

Pleased to meet you.

These are our kittens, well the Colemans kittens. I get to claim one of them though and to play with all of them. so I count them as mine too. The one in the red collar is Sadie. The grey without a collar is Herbert, Kevin's Kitty. The green collar is Licorice. Below from left to right are. Sadie, Hubert(mindy's kitty), and Lollipop, she has a pink collar.

Hope you enjoyed meeting the kittens. If you are in Walla Walla and need Kitty love I'm sure they can supply it. Just call us and we'll go play with them together.
